What is the difference between the online and the premium authentication?
For the online authentication you send us photos of your item; we usually check within 48 hours (express in 24 hours) and issue a digital certificate. For the premium authentication you send in the item or bring it to Düsseldorf. We examine it physically and issue a court-proof expert report with certificate of authenticity.
How long does an authentication take?
We usually complete online authentications within 48 hours of receiving the photos, or within 24 hours with the express upgrade. Premium authentications are usually completed within 48 hours of receiving the item, with insured return shipping within 24 hours of completing the examination.
How much does an authentication cost?
Online authentications start at 24.90 euros for sneakers and cost 39.90 euros for handbags. Premium authentications with a court-proof expert report start at 49 euros for sneakers, 59 euros for wallets and 89 euros for handbags.
Which photos do I need for the online authentication?
After booking you receive a photo guide. Sharp daylight photos of the serial number or date code, stamps, hardware, stitching, lining and overall view are important. Often the photos from a sales listing are enough.
Is the report recognised in court and by PayPal or eBay?
The premium report is court-proof and accepted by courts, authorities and insurers. Even after an online authentication, if we detect a fake we issue a signed and stamped short report for your buyer protection claim with PayPal or eBay.
