On 1 January 2026, Hermès raised its prices worldwide. In the eurozone, prices rose by around 3 to 9 per cent depending on the model. The most affected: Birkin, Kelly and the Lindy family. The price list below already reflects the new prices.

Price increase January 2026: before and after (EU)
Hermès generally raises its prices once a year, usually at the start of the year. The 2026 increase varied considerably by model family: Birkin and Kelly rose by 7 to 9 per cent, the Lindy family by around 8 per cent, while entry-level models such as Evelyne and Herbag got off comparatively lightly with 3 to 4 per cent. For long-term perspective: in 2016, the Birkin 25 still cost €5,900 in Europe. After the 2026 increase, it stands at €9,600, a rise of around 63 per cent in ten years. It is precisely this price development that makes the Birkin and Kelly so stable in value on the secondary market.
Where is Hermès cheapest worldwide?
The short answer: in the eurozone, and therefore also in Germany. France, as the home market, is the price reference, and all euro countries are at the same level. Anyone living outside the EU can also have around 12 per cent VAT refunded when buying in Europe, saving considerably more. The USA is clearly more expensive after two consecutive increases, the United Kingdom is roughly on a par with the eurozone when converted, and Canada, following increases of 9 to 15 per cent in January 2026, is now the most expensive major market worldwide.

For buyers in Germany, this means: you are already buying in the cheapest Hermès market in the world. A detour via other countries is practically never worthwhile in terms of price; on the contrary, imports from non-EU countries incur customs duty and import VAT, which eat up the supposed advantage.

New favourites: The Lindy (€ 6,250 to 7,450) and 24/24 (€ 7,700 to 8,400) have established themselves as modern classics. The Lindy family was the model with the steepest price rise worldwide in 2026.
